wake up! yoga

sync up with the sacred rhythm of an early morning yoga ritual. Our mindful morning practice will start with an intention, moving into a slow, deep, vinyasa flow, and floor asanas with longer holds and breath work for maximum lengthening and stretching of muscles and myofascial tissue, and ending with a body awareness meditation. Students leave feeling a calm focused energy, and invigorated with a positive intention for the day! This is open to all levels with some yoga experience helpful.

 

align & awaken

explore clear alignment, breath work, and mindfulness as ways to help us awaken to a deeper level of awareness. practice will include longer holds to help us gain strength and flexibility. flows will be done with clear alignment cues in each pose so that students are safe and are continually deepening their awareness of their own bodies. This is an all-levels class, where students will be encouraged to honor their edge. Options will be offered so that each student can make the practice what they need that day. Everyone will be invited to deepen their ability to be fully present in each moment. This mindfulness work lays the foundation to deeper consciousness and bliss. It awakens us to who we are and allows us to experience the state of yoga.

 

gentle yoga

expect to feel refreshed, calm, & centered in this class, which takes a gentle approach to practicing yoga. We become so conditioned to "Go-Go-Go, Do More, Work Harder!" that sometimes our biggest challenge is letting go of self-judgment and slowing down long enough to provide some much-needed refreshment to our bodies and spirits. In this class, we emphasize cultivating mindfulness as we integrate postures, body alignment, breath awareness, relaxation, and meditation.  While this is a wonderful class for beginners to learn and practice the basics, it is also a great forum for seasoned practitioners to luxuriate in stretches and turn focus inward. We emphasize breathing, posture, and exploring the internal nature of the yoga poses—how they feel, rather than how they look

 

align & unwind

class begins with warm up stretches and continues into a sequence of yoga asanas (poses) for the whole body including a variety of standing, strengthening, balancing, and seated poses. The last quarter of class is spent in relaxing asanas & guided meditation to help create peace, calm, and focus for daily life.  Students leave in a light, peaceful feeling! This class is suitable for all levels, with modifications and advanced variations offered throughout the class.

 

chill your yin

class is designed to reduce tension caused by everyday stress. We will begin class stretching and lengthening the large postural muscles of the body with a gentle, yin yoga practice. The second half of the class will be spent in restorative postures. Restorative yoga uses blankets, blocks and other props to totally support the body, allowing the muscles to fully relax, the brain to quiet, and the spirit to experience peace and restoration. The entire class will be done on the floor with no standing asanas.  Appropriate for all levels, including those new to yoga or recovering from injury or illness.
